If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I love dogs. I’ve had dogs all my life, I’ve never been without one. To me, dogs are the best friends anyone could have; their unconditional love is unmatched for those who have the capacity to appreciate it.

This series of dogs in New York was created during a family trip. I set out to photograph something from my journey, to create a sort of essay, and the incredible Elliott Erwitt came to mind: his work on the relationship between dogs and humans, their unconditional love, and the nature of their interaction. Then I thought: New York City Dogs!
